## Must have

- [ ] Business name, currency, time zone and logo ([Business settings](https://docs.smartposhub.com/start/business-settings/)).
- [ ] A location per shop ([step 1](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/barber/step-1-shop-and-modules/)).
- [ ] **Services** and **Service staff** switched on in **Settings › Business Settings › Modules**.
- [ ] Opening hours in **Bookings › Settings**.
- [ ] Barber menu imported and **every price changed to yours** ([step 2](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/barber/step-2-price-list-and-barbers/)).
- [ ] A user, role and staff profile for every barber, with services performed, hours and commission.
- [ ] **Commission default** set in **Services › Settings**.
- [ ] Payment methods set ([Payment methods](https://docs.smartposhub.com/selling/payment-methods/)) and receipt printer tested.
- [ ] A test walk-in booked, started, checked out and printed ([step 3](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/barber/step-3-walk-ins-and-appointments/), [step 5](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/barber/step-5-checkout-products-and-tips/)).

## Online booking

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I test before opening?

Yes. Book yourself online, check the appointment in, check it out in the POS, print the receipt, then return the sale and cancel the booking.

### What do barbershops forget most often?

Changing the prebuilt USD prices, and giving each barber their services performed. A barber with no services ticked cannot be booked.

### Do I need online booking on day one?

No. Walk-ins and the POS work without it. Switch on the booking link once prices and barbers are right.
