# Tech store go-live checklist

## Must have

- [ ] Business name, currency, time zone and logo set ([Business settings](https://docs.smartposhub.com/start/business-settings/)).
- [ ] One location per branch, each with its invoice scheme and receipt layout ([step 1](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/tech-store/step-1-locations-and-modules/)).
- [ ] **Repair module** and **Product Library** switched on in **Settings › Business Settings › Modules** (if your plan includes them).
- [ ] Roles for owner, front desk, technician and cashier; users created ([Users and roles](https://docs.smartposhub.com/start/users-and-roles/)).
- [ ] Phones, laptops and accessories imported or added ([step 2](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/tech-store/step-2-import-phones-and-laptops/)).
- [ ] **Every product has a selling price** (no 0 prices left from the import).
- [ ] Storage and colour variants correct, each with its barcode ([step 3](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/tech-store/step-3-variants-warranties-and-imei/)).
- [ ] **Enable Product description, IMEI or Serial Number** on every serialised product.
- [ ] Warranties created and attached; **Show sale description** and warranty options ticked on the invoice layout.
- [ ] Opening stock entered per location ([step 4](https://docs.smartposhub.com/business-types/tech-store/step-4-buy-stock-from-suppliers/)).
- [ ] Payment methods and payment accounts set ([Payment methods](https://docs.smartposhub.com/selling/payment-methods/)).

- [ ] A test sale printed with the IMEI and warranty, then returned.

## Repair desk

- [ ] Statuses, colours and notification templates checked.
- [ ] Terms and conditions text, label size and deposit rule set.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I test a sale before going live?

Yes. Make a test sale, check the receipt shows the IMEI and warranty, then return or delete it. Do the same with a test job sheet and convert it to an invoice.

### What is the most common setup mistake?

Imported products still priced at 0. Check prices with Products › List Products before the first sale.

### Do I need to finish every item before opening?

No. Locations, prices, stock, the IMEI switch and the register are must-haves. The online store, Shopper app and order options can come later.
